The OPP tape for clean rooms is a transparent packaging tape made of plastic paper tubes that does not produce paper dust.
General-purpose packaging tape generates paper dust, making it unsuitable for clean rooms that control the amount of dust in the air; therefore, a clean room-specific product is necessary. This product uses a plastic core (plar core) and OPP film, which means there is no generation of paper dust or dust from the tape itself. The OPP film used has a moderate thickness, making it less prone to wrinkling compared to thin tape, allowing workers to apply it neatly without stress, significantly improving work efficiency. The adhesive is rubber-based, which minimizes changes in adhesion due to temperature fluctuations, ensuring strong adhesion even at low temperatures, and it adheres well to "difficult-to-stick types of plastic." Additionally, rubber-based adhesives emit less outgassing than acrylic-based adhesives, resulting in less impact on the product. This product is individually packaged, preventing dust from adhering to the core or film regardless of where it is stored. Without individual packaging, it could lead to issues caused by foreign substances, making it an important condition for thorough quality control.
